The Doctoral Program “Language and Knowledge Engineering” (KLE) is a collaboration of several research groups at the Department of Computer Science, Technische Universität Darmstadt:
Algorithmics,
Knowledge Engineering,
Knowledge Mining and Assessment,
Stastical Semantics, and Ubiquitous Knowledge Processing. It is affiliated with the PhD program
Knowledge Discovery in Scientific Literature.
The doctoral program covers research at the frontiers of Graph-based Algorithms, Machine Learning and Computational Linguistics, applied to Text Mining and Language Technologies. The groups constituting LKE bring together around 20 doctoral students, 6 senior researchers and 4 professors, all specializing in different aspects of the above described research area.
The doctoral program currently offers regular research meetings:
LKE activities are currently organized by
Prof. Dr Iryna Gurevych (UKP Lab) and are coordinated by
Emily Jamison (UKP Lab).
